John Krikke has been involved in the technology industry since 1982. He began selling cellular phones when they were introduced to Canada in the early ‘80s. Soon after that he joined a local computer reseller, rising to the the position of branch manager. It is at this company that he met and worked with Don Kovacs, his current business partner. Wanting to focus on providing complete solutions for small businesses rather than just selling computers, he left in 1993 to form Krikke Computer Services (KCS). KCS was an innovator in providing managed support services for small and medium sized business. In 2009 John merged the operations of KCS into Onward Computer Systems and assumed the role of Vice President.
Although John's primary focus is sales and business development, he also leads the project management and technical solutions aspects of the business. John holds a number of technical certifications and plays an active role in the Microsoft Small and Midsize Business (SMB) Community in Canada. Currently he is the SMB Partner Area Lead for Canada, acting as liaison between Microsoft and the SMB partner community. He was selected for this advocacy role based on his successful community-engagement activities and his considerable knowledge about technology, business and market opportunities. John sits on the CompTIA Partner Advisory Council and contributes to the Microsoft Canada blog.
